Flat Horse Races Live
In the UK many of the race courses offering flat racing use a natural grass surface known as ‘turf’. These are for the tracks that offer the majority of racing throughout the main flat racing season (spring, summer and autumn) although there are some that offer races all year round. These tracks offer a harrowed (dirt) or synthetic (all-weather) track that can be used all year round.
With so many races held 12 months a year all across the UK and with some of the world’s greatest flat racing events such as the Epsom Derby and the St Leger Stakes, it is no surprise that so many fans want to watch the action live online.
100% Legal Live Streams
All of the live horse racing streams featured on GGTV are 100% legal and 100% safe. Many websites feature illegal streams that simply steal the content direct from the likes of At The Races and Racing UK and whilst there may be a small cost to watch the races via legal streams (but let’s face it you are likely to be betting on the action anyway!) you can be sure that there are no computer viruses and/or other nasty’s infecting your computer/phone/tablet when watching.
So How is GGTV Different?
The streams that we feature here on GGTV are offered by bookmakers who have paid for the rights to bring you live horse racing action, so you can watch races that you have bet on.
What Can You Watch?
Different bookies have different services with some only focusing on the UK and Ireland whilst some bring you the action from all around the world. If you are after a specific race, please visit our preview section or for all races from a specific track, check out our track guides.
You can also click on the bookies in the table above for all the info you need.

Watch Flat Racing Live
Whilst many fans and perhaps causal sports fans think about horse racing, the action is often split into two distinct different types of racing, jump and flat racing.
Those fans who perhaps take things more seriously will know that there is much more to the sport than that with a number of different types of racing amongst those 2 different styles.
When it comes to flat racing the action can be split into 2 further types of racing Flat Maiden and Flat Handicaps.
Flat Maiden races are races for hordes that are yet to win a flat race and they are often only open to horses of a certain age (usually relatively young such as 2 year olds only or 3 year olds only). These races are where horses gain their experience and get to really learn the sport.
Flat Handicap races are, perhaps as you would expect, races where the better horses are given a handicap to level the field and to try and create a more even field and therefore more exciting racing.
Extra weight is carried by the horse, which is calculated by an official assessors, known as a handicapper.
Flat racing tends to take place through the summer months, when the courses are firer and they tend to feature younger horses so the racing is faster and more explosive. It has been likened to the sport of rugby, where flat racing is Rugby League (full of skill, ingenuity and speed) whilst jump racing is Rugby Union (players simply carry the ball and try to use their weight to barge through the opposition).
The great news for fans of horse racing is that it has never been easier to watch flat racing no matter where it is happening around the world.
Here in the United Kingdom we are lucky to have many of the best flat racecourses in the world offering many of the biggest and best flat races in the world and as you would expect we are also blessed with many of the best horses, jockeys and trainers.
All of that equates to simply the best racing in the world and lots of must watch races, meetings and festivals of racing but no matter if you are wanting to watch the biggest races from the biggest festivals (such as the St Leger or the Derby), or you are wanting to watch a maiden race from the smallest village course in the country, you can pick and choose to watch just the action that you want.
Whilst many of these races are available to watch live on pay tv channels that need an ongoing and expensive subscription to be able to watch, many are only interested in 1 or 2 races and certainly not a number of races a day to make a subscription work.
That is what makes the flat racing live stream services featured on this page so good as you choose what races to watch and how to watch them.
No matter if you prefer to watch via your phone, tablet, computer or laptop, you can.
There is a wagering requirement need to be met before you can watch via the online bookmakers on this page but the chances are that if you are wanting to watch a live stream of flat horse racing, you are also interested in betting in the action, so why not bet with a bookie that allows you to watch along and to cheer on your chosen horse?
