So How is GGTV Different?
The streams that we feature here on GGTV are offered by bookmakers who have paid for the rights to bring you live horse racing action, so you can watch races that you have bet on.
What Can You Watch?

Watch Racing From Redcar Live
Redcar is one of Yorkshires smaller racecourses but it does offer racing fans something different as the counties only seaside course.
The oval course is almost perfectly flat which allows for some fast, action packed racing over the 1 mile and 4 furlong track, which also offers a 3 furlong chute to allow for straight sprint races of up to a mile- thought to be the only straight and flat mile course in Britain.
The course has a long history going back to the 1870’s but racing in the town goes back even further as before that racing in Redcar took place on the beach at the nearby Coatham.
Whilst not been able to offer the same level of facilities and prize fund of other courses in Yorkshire, Redcar has developed a number of notable races that are held annually at the course.
These include the Zetland Gold Cup (a handicap race run over 1 mile and 2 furlongs for horses aged 3 and over), the Tow Year Old Trophy (a listed race run over 6 furlongs for, as you would expect, horses aged 2) and the Guisborough Stakes (a listed race run over 7 furlongs for horses aged 3 and over).
No matter if you are wanting to watch one of the fantastic races listed above or any other race from Redcar racecourse, the great news for all racing fans is that it has never been easier.
All of the live streaming services offered by the online bookmakers featured on this page bring you each and every one of the races held at Redcar live online.

As one of England’s most northerly racecourses and due to the tracks location so close to the coast, the great news for fans is that all of the action from the course is on the flat race track, so all of the action takes place during the flat racing season, which is of course during the warmer months in the United Kingdom.
That means there is little racing that falls foul of the weather up in the north east although the wind can prove a challenge for horses and jockeys alike.
Whilst the course does not tend to offer household names when it comes to horses and jockeys, it is a great opportunity to see rising stars in both fields as it tends to be a mix of younger horses and jockeys taking to the turf to match up against grizzled veterans.
That often makes for great racing and perhaps most importantly, exciting racing that can be watch on your laptop, phone, computer or tablet.

History of Racing At Redcar Racecourse
As is the case with many coastal racecourses, the history of Redcar races is based on early action that took place on the sands of Redcar beach.
This action back in the early 18th century was a much simpler affair, with fans simply standing next to the race or sitting in a small temporary grandstand set up by an entrepreneurial local joiner who charged for the chance to rest your feet.
When the Jockey Club was introduced and a mandate for meeting to raise funds from entrance fees was established so like meetings up and down the country, Redcar races needed to find a new home away from the beach.
In 1872, a new home was found and a new racecourse at the current site was established including fences and a parade ring and areas for fans were established.
In 1895, the course added a brand new Grandstand which was one of the biggest and costliest in the country at that time.
The course continued to expand and improve with the addition of a 2nd Grandstand in 1877, whist on site stables were also added.
During the war years, racing struggled with the course becoming an airfield during WW1 and an army camp in WW2.
That surprisingly left the course in a state of disrepair and in need of some new investment. At the end of the second world war, there were only 4 days of racing scheduled at the course.
Thankfully, a new management team stepped in and over the next 10 years, the course underwent a redevelopment scheme with the track and facilities all improved.
During this period, the course became the first in the UK to have close-circuit television, a timing clock and furlong posts were introduced.
The newly developed course saw a huge upsurge in popularity and in the 1960’s another new Grandstand was needed to help ease overcrowding and it was this new stand that is the main one in use to today.
For much of the history of the course, it has been under the ownership of the Zetland family but in the 1990’s it was sold to the International Racecourse Management group that had interests in a number of other racecourses including York and Doncaster.
