Goodwood Races Live

The racecourse is located five miles to the North of Chichester in West Sussex with the track named after Goodwood House whose owner, the Duke of Richmond, also owns the racecourse.

Goodwood is home to 2 of the UK’s 31 Group 1 races, the Sussex Stakes and the Nassau Stakes.

Goodwood is always amongst the most popular race courses for fans in attendance due to its attractive setting and the fact that the hill top location of the main Grandstands give a great view out over the whole race course.

This also gives the track an unusual complex layout with what is known as the ‘Stewards Cup Course’ having 1 straight uphill furlong followed by 5 downhill.

Glorious Goodwood, or the Qatar Goodwood Festival as it is known for sponsorship reasons, is one of the biggest week’s of racing action on the sporting calendar. Held in late July or early August, this summer festival of racing is a must watch and always popular with experience and novice punters alike.

100% Legal Live Streams

All of the live horse racing streams featured on GGTV are 100% legal and 100% safe. Many websites feature illegal streams that simply steal the content direct from the likes of At The Races and Racing UK and whilst there may be a small cost to watch the races via legal streams (but let’s face it you are likely to be betting on the action anyway!) you can be sure that there are no computer viruses and/or other nasty’s infecting your computer/phone/tablet when watching.

So How is GGTV Different?

The streams that we feature here on GGTV are offered by bookmakers who have paid for the rights to bring you live horse racing action, so you can watch races that you have bet on.

What Can You Watch?

Different bookies have different services with some only focusing on the UK and Ireland whilst some bring you the action from all around the world. If you are after a specific race, please visit our preview section or for all races from a specific track, check out our track guides.

You can also click on the bookies in the table above for all the info you need.

Watch Racing From Goodwood Live

Racing at Goodwood is of the highest quality, with 3 group 1 races held at the course each year and that helps the course to attract top horses, jockeys, trainers and owners.

Goodwood is known for its complex racecourse which includes a 6 furlong straight which starts off uphill and then goes downhill whilst longer races are spread out around a sharp right hand turn to begin with.

The races biggest and best meeting at the course are split across 4 main race meetings which are spread across the main summer flat racing season.

These meetings are the Spring Meeting, which is held in May, the August Meeting and the Autumn Meeting, held in September whilst the Glorious Festival (or Glorious Goodwood as many fans known the event as), headlines racing at the course in late July / early August.

The key races at the Spring Meeting are the Daisy Warwick Stakes (a listed race run over 1 mile and 4 furlongs), the Height of Fashion Stakes (a listed race run over 1 mile, 1 furlong and 192 yards) and the Cocked Hat Stakes (a listed race run over 1 mile and 3 furlongs).

The August Meetings offers the Celebration Mile (a group 2 race run over 1 mile), the Prestige Stakes 9a group 3 race run over 7 furlongs), the March Stakes (a listed race run over 1 mile and 6 furlongs) and the Supreme Stakes (a group 3 race run over 7 furlongs) as its key races.

The Autumn Meeting offers up the Foundation Stakes (a listed race run over 1 mile, 1 furlong and 192 yards) and the Stardom Stakes (run over 7 furlongs) as its key races.

The biggest stand out races and the biggest concentration of races to be held at the course come during the iconic Glorious Festival at Goodwood with a number of Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 race held.

Group 3 races held during the festival include the Molecombe Stakes (run over 5 furlongs for 2 year old horses), the Gordon Stakes (run over 1 mile and 4 furlongs for horses 3 years old), the Oak Tree Stakes (run over 7 furlongs for 3 year old fillies and above), the Thoroughbred Stakes (run over 1 mile for 3 year old horses), the Glorious Stakes (run over 1 mile and 4 furlongs for horses aged 4 and over).

Group 2 races held at the festival include the Lennox Stakes (run over 7 furlongs for horses aged 3 and over), the Vintage Stakes (run over 7 furlongs for horses aged 2 years old), the Richmond Stakes (run over 6 furlongs for 2 year old horses), the Lillie Langtry Stakes (run over 1 mile and 6 furlongs for 3 years old and over fillies), the King George Stakes (run over 5 furlongs for horses aged 3 and over).

Group 1 races held at the festival include the Sussex Stakes (run over 1 mile for 3 year olds and over), the Goodwood Cup (run over 2 miles for horde aged 3 and over) and the Nassau Stakes (run over 1 mile, 1 furlong and 192 yards for 3 year old and above fillies).

The Stewards Cup (a handicap race run over 6 furlongs) is also a notable race run during the festival.

No matter if you are wanting to watch one for the great races listed above, just Glorious Goodwood Festival of Racing or any other race from the course, it has never been easier.
